TomDLux Real-Life Relations

People who participate in BDSM sometimes find themselves in an odd relationship with police, customs officers and other 'figures of authority', as well as with experts such as doctors and paramedics, psychiatrists and therapists. My goal in these pages is to get some factual information from the authorative source, the men and women on the front lines in these occupations. That sounds preferable, to me, to simply guessing what people are going to think and do.

If you are in one of the occupations I mention, please take a look at the relevant page and send me your experiences and opinions. I will not publish your name or specific location, nor any experiences which would be identifiable. I do, however, want to give an idea of where you are - state or province; big city, small town, rural; and the key points of your experience with BDSM in the community.

Since I live in Canada and visit friends in the US, as well as sometimes encountering people who come up from the States, I'll begin by getting the low-down on getting our toys across the border. Information from customs officers and airport security
