The photo on the left is a few years old - but I like it, besides it still looks like me.
The photo on the right shows me with one of the ice cream vending machines I was programming in Memphis.
Well you made it to my homepage - so you either know me, or you just got here by accident.
Well whichever it is, nice to see you here.
I am a 35 year old Englishwoman, who is now living in the good ol' U.S of A. I was born 7th May 1965 (yes I'm an O.A.P. [old age pensioner born in the Chinese year of the snake] - as well as being a Taurean ie stubborn obstinate and a pain in the butt; the Native American Medicine Wheel Totam says beaver.)
I was born on the Isle Of Wight, a little diamond shaped island approx 4 miles south of the English mainland (this makes me a "Caulkhead" ) - that is another story - see me). I lived in Ryde for 18 years, then moved to Selsey Bill (West Sussex) and from there to Portsmouth - where I lived for 11 years. I studied at Sandown High School and achieved quite a few school qualifications - which I would like to build upon in the near future.
I am now living in Phoenix Arizona - I moved over from England because of domestic problems which left me needing to start 'afresh'.
I moved first to Memphis Tennsessee and I kept getting asked 'why tennessee' as opposed to any other place in the states - well I typed and talked to a real nice guy on IRC, Freetel and the telephone, he told me that if I could make it to Memphis that he would put a roof over my head for a while. This he did (without him I don't know what would have happened - DAN - THANK YOU SO MUCH ).
I was working as a popsicle truck driver - then setting up ice cream vending machines - see the photo above - a much nicer job, which didn't involve sitting in a truck with no a/c for hours on end.
I then moved to Houston to help someone with webpages - but things didn't work out there, I was there for 3mths and just before I moved to Wright Wyoming, May 98, to be with my boyfriend of the time my laptop was stolen - so I have not been able to do much updating of late - trying to catch up with a little of THAT now.
The relationship in Wyoming didn't really work out, so I helped in my boyfriends computer shop while I was there and learned a little more about building computers and programming cell phones.
I left there Aug 98 and travelled to Fort Lauderdale Floria to see if I could get a job down there, due to unforseen circumstances (THANK YOU so much for your help moving out of Florida "WAYLAND", I will never forget it). I was only there for 2 weeks and then travelled back to my "sisters" mums place in Texas, stayed there for 3weeks and went to Flagstaff with my "sister".
banshee/esa-tia/caliann is my "sister" she adopted me when I was living in Houston and we have been great friends ever since... I will try to include a photo of her later.
November 1998 I moved to Phoenix and have had a wonderful time here staying with friends. caliann has also moved to Phoenix and lives not far away from me.
I worked riding pedicabs for several months and became top rider, much to the surprise of both myself and a gentleman who has been in the business for many years.
Thanks to Him I found a way of exercising that I adored and cannot wait until I manage to get back to doing it, even if it can only be part time now I have moved.
Only someone who has held such a job can, I think, understand the attraction. To outsiders it looks a thankless tiring job, but those who give of themselves, receive a marvelous feeling of achievement from riding and cannot give up riding without feeling a definite loss. It becomes a kind of addiction, but a good kind, one that is extremely healthy for you.
