No More Bumps! - A Few Shaving Tips
Many
subbies shave their nether regions to please their Masters/Mistresses,
and we all know the pain that can be involved! Here are a few tips for
obtaining a smooth shave, without the red rash!
Most
importantly, start with a very sharp quality razor. Disposable razors
are lower quality with only one or two blades that grow dull very quickly.
I would highly suggest splurging for a high quality razor with three
blades. I've discovered that the men's Mach 3 works impressively well
in any area of the body. The blades for this razor come in packs of
four, so I buy a pack for him and a pack for me. If you do choose to
use disposables, use each razor once and throw it away.
If
you wet shave, lather is necessary for a smooth and pain free shave.
What product you use will depend on your skin type, any allergies you
may have, and personal preference. I prefer to use a fragrance-free
soap like Dove or Ivory because they cause less trouble in the feminine
infection department. For men, there's little to worry about here. There
are all kinds of shaving gels out there, and if they come in a fragrance
free version, I'm sure they would work well.
If
it's an option, shave every two days as opposed to every day. This will
really help avoid the red bumpy rash that you can sometimes get from
shaving.
Exfoliate!
Get a loofah sponge and scrub your skin. Often the red bumps left from
shaving are caused by hairs getting trapped under dead skin when they
try to grow out, otherwise known as in-grown hairs. By exfoliating,
you remove the dead skin and the hairs are able to grow freely. That
is, until you shave again!
And
lastly, get into a routine. Eventually your body will get used to shaving
and the red rash will occur less often (if you get it at all).
